One of my favorite times of year is the annual LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Pride Parade and Celebration here in San Francisco. I’ve been an annual attendee since my first Pride in 1989 (in Austin, Tx). The sheer energy, love, pride, creativity and harmony are palpable - this is perhaps the most empowering, encouraging, affirming event ever and is one of the reasons I love San Francisco so dearly.
